MUSIC PRODUCTION

Heya, thanks for checking out my audio production services. Music production is my biggest passion in life, and I enjoy the whole process from writing through to recording, mixing and mastering. I’m game to help in any/all of these areas, though I get hired most often for the latter.

Why should you hire me? The only reason to hire me would be if you like what you hear. Every producer/engineer out there has their ears/taste, and will leave their mark on your work. Therefore I encourage you to listen to the projects I’ve worked on and decide for yourself if you dig my vibe.

What makes me unique?

My process is a little bit different than most. First off I am unapologetically in-the-box for a whole host of reasons, which is not that surprising these days. What sets me apart though is that I am equally versed in both mixing and mastering, and often take a hybrid approach where I begin mastering an album when we get into the later stages of the mixing process. The advantage to this approach is that it takes the guessing game out of handing finished mixes over to a separate mastering engineer; we're essentially making adjustments to both the mix and master until we arrive to the final product. I personally feel it’s a better way to go than the traditional division of roles.

Another unique thing I've been doing for a while is offering mix notes to my friends. Usually when they're getting near to the end of their productions they will send me their mixes and I will send them adjustments on eq points, compressor settings, or anything else that jumps out at me. I'm excited to start offering this as a service to anyone that is interested, and am also open to trading listening/notes services with any ears that are trained well enough to identify masking frequencies.
